Responsibilities
Principal accountabilities:
- Responsibility for Maintaining and Operating the ECI Infrastructures
- Responsibility for Maintaining and Operating the ECI Data Center in Pittsburgh, including Server management (Wintel, Unix, Linux, VMware)
- Responsibility for Maintaining and Operating the ECI communication environment - Switching & Routing (static and dynamic protocols), BGP ? including LAN, WAN, TCP/IP Networking
- Responsibility for implementing and enforcing the ECI Information Security policies
- Responsibility for local Backup and Restore (Netbackup)
- Basic End user HW replacement and maintenance (desktop, laptop, printers)
- Basic End user SW installation
- Basic End user troubleshooting
- Basic Telephony support
- Proactive identification of problems

Candidate Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Network Expert - CCNA or other equivalent certification
- MCSE and or RHCE
- System Expert with good knowledge in Microsoft environment (Exchange, AD, etc) - 3+ years in a large organization
- Network Expert with a very good knowledge in Cisco / 3COM environments - 3+ years in a large organization
- Linux / Unix Expert with a very good knowledge 3+ years in a large organization
- Good knowledge in Virtual environments (VMware)
- Good knowledge in NAS and SAN (e.g. NetApps ? iSCSI, SAN, NFS)
- Good knowledge in Telephony infrastructure
- Good knowledge in Backup systems (Symantec Netbackup)
- Fair Knowledge of common IT security (firewall, IPS, etc)
- Creative problem-solving and a strong proactive
- Strong autodidact
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to gain cooperation and collaborate with others
- Excellent English (verbal and written)
