Senior Network Engineer
Work with a variety of small business clients to maintain and support IT networks based on Windows 7, MS Windows Vista, Windows XP, MS Windows Server 2008 and 2003, MS Exchange 2007 and 2003 Server, and .NET servers. Work closely with client's IT staff or provide full-service IT outsourcing. Key areas of expertise include Exchange-based email, Active Directory, security, server monitoring, and network infrastructure. The Sr. Engineer will troubleshoot application problems including desktop application integration issues, server problems, data service issues, and connectivity problems.
In supporting a client, the engineer may be designated either the primary or the secondary engineer. The primary engineer must be familiar with all aspects of the client IT infrastructure and is responsible for first line response to all customer issues, and a rapid response time to opened help tickets is essential. The secondary engineer should be familiar with the client’s IT infrastructure to the degree that they can seamlessly step in and resolve issues in the absence of the primary engineer. It is critical that all engineers keep their service reports and public folders up to date in order for the TRC to manage incoming calls.
